Red Queen By: Victoria Aveyard

Life of course can get in the way, I know this book was published last year, but hey! at least I can say I read it. From only reading chapter one of this book it kept me turning page after page, chapter after chapter. Red Queen left me with my jaw dropped, heart sunk, and mind blown. I just just scream because how crazy good this story is.

  5 stars all the way

The whole world is based off of not image of you, but the blood that flows inside you.
 Red or Silver
No power or Power
If you are red your life has two meanings: work for the silvers or die for them. At the age of 17 you are doomed to a war that is not even yours (conscription), but if you manage to find work then you will spend your life working for silvers.
Reds against Silvers, hearts against hearts.
"Power is a dangerous game."
"Anyone can betray anyone."

I was on the edge of y seat the whole time I was reading this book. I would come up with one theory after another, and the result was not what I expected at all. That is what I loved so much about Red Queen. Then of course there is a love triangle going one, well more like a love diamond. Which is kind of ironic, because most of the silver buildings are made out of diamonds. Good job Victoria, I see what you did there! I actually found myself torn between the two lives Mare is living. I fell in love with a lot of the silver characters, but then I kept having to tell myself , No, don't do it. But it happened anyway then BAM! I got knocked out right from under my feet at the end. So many betrayals and conspiracy's happen in this story. You end up feeling the emotions Mare feels through out the book. Then there are those characters you just completely hate. Not naming any names... (cough cough) Queen Elara & Evangeline. GRRR!! It't not a bad thing to hate characters, in my opinion, it's what makes the story more interesting. This book is beautifully written, and it really does take you to another world.
I recommend this book to anyone and everyone!!

“You Don’t See Us,
And So We Are EVERYWHERE.
And We Will Rise Up,
Red As The Dawn”
