So yesterday I received my Amazon package in the mail. I consider it a Valentines Day gift to myself.. YAY!! I received four new book to add to my already over filled book shelf.
Let's get started!
Book #1
I was Here
By: Gayle Forman
By: Gayle Forman

Now if you haven't read any of Gayle Forman's books then I don't know what you've been doing with your life. Her work is amazing! She also wrote the If I Stay & Just One Day collections. Which where both tear jerkers. If I Stay was made into a movie back in 2014 starring Chloë Grace Mortez.
I was Here, was published January 2015, I've been wanting to reading this book I just never got around to it. But Hey! Better late than never.
From what I've read, It's suppose to be about a girl name Cody who loses her best friend Meg from suicide. Cody can;t understand why she would kill herself, they were like two peas in a pod. Cody should've saw signs, but she didn't. That's when Cody starts investigating, trying to find the truth as to why her best friends killed herself. On her search she ends up discovering heart wrenching truths about her love and friendship for Meg.
I am super excited to finally read this book!!
Book #2
Cruel Crown
By: Victoria Aveyard
By: Victoria Aveyard

I am super excited about this one as well.Victoria Aveyard also wrote the Red Queen Series. I am actually currently reading Glass Sword, the second installment to Red Queen that was released just this month. Yay! finally a book that isn't a year late.
Cruel Crown is the a two party novella for Red Queen. The first novella is titled "Queen Song" which is actually a untold story about Queen Coriane (Cal's mother). From what I have read in the description, she kept a diary so no one else can use her thoughts against her. It's also the documentation of Prince Cal's birth, and her courtship. I wonder if it will also lead to show her death? I really hope so, I NEED SOME ANSWERS!
The Second novella is "Steel Scars" is about Captain Farely and how she started the rebellion in Norta. It's also suppose to reveal how she recruited Reds to join the scarlet guard, and about the attacks she set on the Silvers. I am excited to see how the Scarlet Guard was created, and also to get to know Captain Farely better.
Two Novellas, One book, YES!
Book #3
A Court of Thorns and Roses
By: Sarah J. Maas

Sarah J. Maas also wrote the Throne of Glass Series which I loved. Celine was a total bad ass, I'm sure everyone agrees. A Court of Thorns and Roses was published May 2015. I'm totally laughing out loud right now. I am so behind in the book world! DON'T JUDGE ME!
What I've heard about this book is that it's Beauty & the Beasts meets urban fantasy. Now those are two things I love! A nineteen year old hunter (huntress) name Fayre kills a wolf in the woods. She then soon finds herself being captured by another creature (beast) who demands her to be punished for killing an animal in his woods. He turns out not to be a beast but a powerful fairy that once ruled the world.
The second installment to this series Court of Mist and Fury is to be published May of this year, so I have some catching up to do.
Last but certainly not least....
Book #4
Passenger
By: Alexandra Bracken

Alexandra Bracken also wrote the Darkest Minds Collection. I have to regrettably say that I did not read them. BUT I did hear great things about that series. I excited that I will finally get to read one of Alexandra's books.
Passenger was published January 2016, and was the most talked about book for January.
From what I have read, it's about a girl name Etta Spencer to is forced to lose everything she thought she knew & loved. And gets thrown into a world that she knows nothing about. Turns out she is a legacy from time travelers, and she knows nothing about it. She is forced to find some kind of valuable object with a seaman name Nicholas, for a powerful family. They both set on a journey through time.
It's always interesting reading a book about time travel. I love to see what part of history will be written in along with the story, and how the future is from the authors imagination.
That concludes my Amazon Book Haul.
I hope you all enjoyed!
Happy Reading :)
